Gul intern

Gul is a recent graduate with a Master of Information and Communication Technology Management (Enterprise Systems) from the University of South Australia. He has gained some hands on experience in IT, working with SAAB Solutions as an Analyst for 4 months as part of his final year project, for which he achieved a distinction. During that time he liaised with the Software Development Team for test cases where he utilised Trello to track the progress of the projects. He also has hands on experience in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Process Improvement, Business Development, Health Management Information Systems (HMIS), KPI Tracking, strategy implementation, monitoring and evaluation. As a result of this exposure, Gul has developed a keen interest in Process Mapping and Process Modelling, and would like to put his skills in these areas into practice and pursue a career in Systems Administration. He is hoping to gain entry level experience in the IT industry through a Help Desk or Junior System Administrator internship placement. Gul has also developed exceptional communication, organisation and teamwork skills through his previous roles as a Planning and Monitoring Officer and Business Development Manager. He is a calm, focused and professional individual who would be a welcome addition to any team.

Rumana is currently seeking an accounting Work Integrated Learning placement where she can utilise the knowledge and skills developed throughout her study and previous work experience to support her career goal in becoming a professional Accountant. Rumana is currently involved in a voluntary basis with CBD Accountants where she has gained practical skills in processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, payroll, BAS and individual tax return. She is a competent user of MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MYOB and HandiTax which will aid her learning other accounting related software. Her long term career goal is to become a professional Accountant and pursue her CPA in the next several years. She has strong communication skills and customer service skills developed from her previous employment. She describes her strengths as her thirst for knowledge, ability to build rapport and being a fast learner. She is available 5 days per week.

He recently qualified with a graduate certificate in Professional Accounting degree and is seeking the opportunity to participate in a general accounting internship placement where he can gain practical accounting experience as part of his journey towards a career as a Chartered Accountant in the future. He is a cheerful individual who loves numbers and has good communication skills. He has an IELTS score of 8 out of 9 (8.5 out of 9 in speaking). He is proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Attention to detail, accuracy, courtesy and interpersonal skills are some of his strengths. Godfrey is currently working at Coles part time and is available for 3 days a week for an internship placement.

He is currently seeking a work integrated learning placement opportunity within an organisation where he would be able to implement his knowledge and skills gained through his degree and work experience as well as further develop his learning within the Accounting sector. During his recent volunteer work experience at the ATO, Mukesh assisted individuals to prepare tax returns and understand related compliance issues, interviewing clients to assess taxable income and ensure correct information is recorded. Mukesh scored an overall of 7.5 in the IELTS test with a 9 in speaking, he believes that strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with people from different backgrounds makes a person more understanding and develops interpersonal skills, vital for effectively dealing with business clients. His 5 year plan and long term career goal is to become a Chartered Financial Analyst and help clients and businesses manage their finances effectively. Mukesh is available for 3 days per week.

Emily is a hardworking graduate from RMIT with a Bachelor of Business Information Systems, as well as a Diploma of Information Technology. She performed exceptionally well throughout her studies, having obtained 12 high distinctions throughout her diploma, including in her database subjects such as Mode Database, which highlights her passion for working with data structure. Emily has developed and displayed her strong analytical skills during her time at university, especially during her projects where she was required to demonstrate her ability to build a database and perform business analysis duties. She has gained many skills in these areas including knowledge of SQL, HTML and a strong theoretical understanding of database diagrams, as well as knowledge of UML and Microsoft Visio. Emily has also developed many professional skills through her previous work experience as an Administrator and Research Assistant in a government department in China. She is looking forward to putting all of her skills and knowledge into practice in an entry level IT opportunity and working her way up to becoming a Senior Business Analyst in the future.

Doris is a recent graduate from the Australian National University. She had an average distinction gained in 16 subjects including taxation law and auditing. Doris has previous experience as an Assistant Accountant Intern at Austax Accounting Services in Sydney. She was responsible for the preparation of individual tax returns, BAS and daily journal entries for the company. By applying a high level of attention to details, she helped the company to avoid making miscalculations when she noticed that the rate of home office expenses in the new financial year had changed. In addition, she is keen to learn and able to work independently. She has demonstrated her skills to handle difficult tasks. For example in the second week of her internship she completed a relatively complicated tax return for a client who owned 8 investment properties. She hopes to use these skills developed in her work integrated learning placement. Doris’ long term plan is to take CPA exams next year, and hopes to become a fully qualified Accountant in 5 years.

Lokesh comes with ample of customer service experience which he has acquired while working as a Catering Assistant in Cater Care. He is looking for a placement as a junior network administrator where he can apply his networking knowledge in a practical environment. His goal is to gain some Australian experience through his placement and pursue his career as a Network Engineer in the next few years.

She is currently seeking an entry-level ICT business analyst position, where she can apply the knowledge and skills developed during pursuit of her postgraduate degree into a practical working experience. Equipped with a solid quantitative training and intermediate level of programming languages (including R, SAS, and Python) used in data mining and business analytics, Stephanie is adept with integrating data from different sources, applying statistical methods to discover and interpret meaningful patterns and trends in data, and then communicating gained insights through building of business dashboards and data storytelling. Presently, Stephanie is working as a statistics tutor to both postgraduate and undergraduate students from various cultures and academic backgrounds. She has developed different approaches to clearly convey materials in ways that are easy to understand for students with diverse learning styles.
