AI literacy is no longer optional in most professional roles. Employers are sorting for it in shortlisting, in interviews, and on the job. Candidates who can demonstrate applied AI skills move to the top of the shortlist. Candidates who cannot are already behind before the interview begins.
Your competition for every Australian role is not just other international graduates. It is every local candidate who already has these skills as their workplace baseline. AI literacy is the floor, not the differentiator. This program is how you stand on it.
The question is not whether you need these skills. The question is how quickly you can prove you have them.
A hands-on session where you build real skills you can use and show from day one.

The ability to direct AI tools with precision is now a professional expectation across most Australian office environments. In this session you move from trial-and-error prompting to structured, repeatable techniques that produce consistent, professional-grade outputs. You will leave knowing how to get workplace-quality results from AI tools and how to articulate that capability clearly to a hiring manager.
Ideal for: All business professionals
Most Australian workplaces run on Microsoft 365. Copilot is now embedded across Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint, and employers are beginning to expect fluency with it. This session gives you hands-on practice across the core Copilot applications so that your first day in an Australian office is not your first time with the tools your team already relies on.
Ideal for: Microsoft 365 users
Theory is not enough. This session puts AI tools into realistic scenarios specific to the Australian professional environment: drafting communications, structuring analysis, supporting project work, and navigating the judgment calls that separate capable users from passive ones. You leave with a practical framework for deciding when and how to apply AI at work, not just permission to use the tools.
Ideal for: Everyone
Explore how digital tools and platforms are transforming industries and the future of work. Covers key technologies driving change, essential digital skills, and emerging workplace trends in Australia’s digital economy.
Ideal for: Job seekers and career changers
Every scenario, every example, and every tool application is built around the Australian professional environment. That specificity is what makes the difference to an employer hiring for an Australian role.
Completion earns a PE Certificate shareable directly on LinkedIn. When a recruiter sees it, they see a candidate who invested in their readiness before they needed to. That matters in a competitive shortlist.
On campus. Facilitated by experienced practitioners. No prerequisites, no prior tech background required. You walk in, do the work, and leave with something concrete you can demonstrate.
You leave with skills you can use on day one and a credential you can share the same afternoon
The program is the same. The credential is the same. The outcome is the same. Your path in depends on where you are.

Do I need a technical background or prior AI experience?
No. The program is designed for professional readiness, not technical depth. If you can use a computer in a workplace, you can complete this program. There are no prerequisites, no coding, and no assumed knowledge. You are meeting the program at the level of someone walking into an Australian office and needing to be effective with AI tools from day one.
How long does the program take?
The AI Employability Accelerator is a half-day, on-campus program. All four modules are delivered in a single session. You will not need to block out multiple days or attend evening classes. It is designed to be completable without disrupting your Professional Year schedule or your existing work commitments.
Will completing this program help me get a job?
The program gives you a credentialled, demonstrable proof point in a category employers are actively sorting for. It does not guarantee employment. What it does is ensure that AI literacy is not the reason you fall behind a local candidate on a shortlist. That is a meaningful difference when you are competing for the same roles.
Is the PE Certificate recognised by employers?
The certificate is issued by Performance Education, Australia’s largest Professional Year provider with over 40,000 graduates and a 20-year track record in workplace readiness training. It is shareable directly on LinkedIn. A recruiter who sees it sees a candidate from a known, credible provider who took a concrete step to develop applied AI skills.
How do I find out about session dates at my campus?
Session dates vary by campus and are updated throughout the year. Contact us at info@performance.edu.au with your preferred campus and we will confirm the next available session and how to secure your place. PE Professional Year students should speak directly with their campus coordinator.
Can PE Professional Year students attend before completing their program?
Yes. PE Professional Year students can attend at any point during their program. Completing it earlier means you carry the credential into your internship phase, which gives you a stronger foundation when working with Australian host companies. Speak with your campus coordinator to find the right session timing for your cohort
