How To Host An Intern

Hosting an internship with your organisation is a simple and effective way to connect with graduate talent. Internships are increasingly popular choices for motivated graduates looking to enhance their skills, connect with industry professionals, and gain real-world experience to help them in their career journey. University graduates bring a new and fresh approach to companies with their current work or ongoing projects. Internship experiences comprise of an internship placement with a host organisation, and reflective assessment tasks to reinforce students’ understanding and interpretation of the workplace.

To host an intern in your organisation, all you need to provide is:

  • A professional work environment
  • A dedicated mentor with relevant qualifications in the areas of Accounting or IT
  • Relevant tasks appropriate to their area of study- either IT or Accounting
  • Two points of feedback at the middle and end of the internship placement via an easy online form

Performance Education has a dedicated team of Placement consultants who pre-interview, coach and match graduates with suitable internship opportunities. Our in-depth process allows us to present interns whom we think would be the best fit for your placement and save you time in reviewing resume’s and arranging interviews. Hosting an internship with your organisation is a simple and effective way to connect with graduate talent: you never know, your intern may become your future employee!
